What Is Depression?
Depression can affect anyone, regardless of age, race, wealth, or status. People who may seem everything to live for can suffer from depression just as much as those who have lost.
If you have any of the following symptoms, you may be depressed:
Feeling hopeless and helpless
Increased irritability or aggression
Loss of interest in life, friends, activities and things you used to enjoy
Increased alcohol consumption/substance abuse
Sleep and appetite fluctuation
Increase in reckless behaviour
Feeling tired/exhausted all the time
Lethargy
Inability to concentrate
Intense feelings of worthlessness, guilt, or harshly criticising oneself
Lack of control over negative thoughts
Why Look For Help With Depression?
Depressive feelings are directly related to your self-esteem and are often the result of the misguided belief that you’re not good enough. Depression is often the body’s way of protecting you from further emotional pain. It can also repress anger and the subconscious mind’s way of reminding you that there are unresolved emotional issues that need to be addressed. You should see your physician if you think you are depressed. With the proper diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support, most sufferers can expect to recover. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help in this recovery and has shown promising results when combined with hypnotherapy.
Through hypnosis, we work together to understand the belief structures underlying your depression and dismantle those beliefs at a subconscious level so you can move forward with your life in a positive, healthy way. An important and challenging symptom of depression is the belief that it is permanent or incurable, bringing with it a sense of hopelessness and despair.
I have worked with a great number of people who have, in fact, gone on to lead happy and fulfilled lives despite believing they would never achieve such a goal when they began the hypnotherapy treatment for depression. You can also make positive changes in the way you think through my depression treatment in Johannesburg. By combining hypnosis, hypnotherapy, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), I can help you begin to open the door of depression so that you have the strength, confidence, and courage to move forward at your own pace.
Under hypnosis, you can access your unconscious mind. Your unconscious mind is up for accepting new ideas, behaviours, and insights. You can maximise your potential under hypnosis. You can use hypnosis to achieve your desired thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
My journey assisting people began in 1989. I started giving my first online sessions in 2020, my services include counselling, NLP, coaching, hypnotherapy, mentoring and team building.
