A Journey To Understanding And Overcoming Anxiety – Part 4:

Toolkit For Formulating Your Own Recovery from Anxiety

Anxiety and depression have seemingly become popular in today’s culture, to the point that some people actively flaunt their struggles with it. However, some individuals who claim they have an anxiety disorder are really dealing with normal levels of daily anxiousness. This usually stems from a need for external validation to counterbalance an inherent insecurity. However, it must be noted that society have experienced an increase in anxiety levels, and with this comes an increased awareness of the disorder. In some ways, we see people expressing it in a way that is something to be proud of instead of something that is overwhelming.

This is positive in that it draws awareness to mental health issues. However, while there  In this series, I have already guided you through a more profound understanding of how anxiety feels and affects our life and how it develops. With hypnotherapy and other tools, you can overcome your limiting belief patterns and take the necessary steps to improving your life. Below is a guideline and toolkit for formulating your own recovery from anxiety.

The Formula for Recovery from Anxiety

Anxiety should not be taken lightly. Those experiencing anxiety find it incredibly uncomfortable; it is not a joyful experience or one that motivates you to flaunt it. Instead, it causes people to experience extreme emotions such as stress, fear, tension, shame, and guilt. For those who have an anxiety disorder, it is a daily struggle that affects every aspect of their lives.

Anxiety is curable; it was caused by something outside of yourself and activated an effect experience towards the world. Anxiety is a learned response to situations that develop in your brain over time, and it can be unlearned with the proper techniques, formula, knowledge, and wisdom. The most profound changes occur during hypnosis because it works on the deepest levels of the subconscious mind.

Obstacles That Prevent Recovery from Recovery

The first step is to identify the obstacles standing in your way of overcoming your anxiety, such as:

  1. Misdiagnosis, or lack of awareness
  2. Misunderstanding or impatience from others
  3. Expecting a quick fix or overnight cure
  4. Not being able to identify the route cause
  5. Lack of support structure
  6. Substance abuse
  7. Unhealthy habits and poor nutrition intake
  8. Unwillingness to seek help or explore new methods

The first steps to overcoming this

  1. Educating yourself with the help of verified resources
  2. Trusting your instincts, and being honest with yourself
  3. Reaching out to others who have overcome anxiety
  4. Seeking professional advice and assistance

Formulating Your Own Strategy for Overcoming Anxiety

It is always ideal for identifying what works for you; some strategies, tools, and formulas may be best for one person but not for another. There is no instant treatment for anxiety, no miracle drug. Instead, it is a journey. You must be kind with yourself, especially if you’ve struggled with anxiety for over five years. Once you begin your path to recovery, it may take a few hypnotherapy sessions and a few weeks of implementing a method or technique. Be patient with your journey to recovery.

Tool Kit For Overcoming Anxiety

Embrace Your Condition: Denial only inhibits progress. Embracing your anxiety means you accept being able to deal with it. Those with severe anxiety already accept that it is something that is happening to them, and have developed strategies, whether constructive or not, to handle their anxiety. Acceptance helps you stop fighting the condition. Once you stop that internal fight, you free up your system’s energy to address your triggers. Trying to control anxiety or avoiding your triggers can create more anxiety once the situation becomes out of your control. Fighting anxiety is the result of fearing it. By accepting and embracing it, it weakens it to your advantage.

How Hypnotherapy Can Help: There are ways to consciously reduce the frequency or severity of your panic attacks. With regular hypnotherapy sessions, one can utilise positive triggers implanted into the subconscious that help neutralise anxiety and related triggers.

Take Care of Yourself

Taking control of yourself will facilitate and improve your recovery from anxiety. This can include:

  1. Taking nutritional supplements that help facilitate better nutrition for improved stress management.
  2. Exercises like yoga, breath work, and meditation assist in settling anxiety to some degree.
  3. Practising self-care helps increase confidence and releases endorphins. Self-acceptance is a key to self-awareness of your positive traits.
  4. Remembering and writing down the things that made you feel happy, excited, empowered, liberated and free. Make time for these things. Remember, when you smile inside, the world smiles with you. If you resonate with life, you attract life. Your inner universe attracts your outer universe.

How Hypnotherapy Helps

Hypnosis is about elevating yourself through positive suggestions, ridding bad habits. With hypnotherapy, you can learn to reframe your limiting belief patterns, including bad habits and harmful behaviour patterns.

Maintain Healthy Friendships

Making new friends may seem difficult if you have social anxiety or are a shy person who struggles in public situations. But look at the people you do know and already have a connection with and think about who has a positive impact on your life. Prioritising the development of deep emotional friendships with positive, healthy attributes is beneficial in your recovery strategy. Optimistic people are great to be around because they ignite positivity within you. Deep and meaningful friendships are incredibly restorative. They provide a sense of calm, happiness, peace of mind and confidence.

Help is Here

Together, we can address the blockages, bad habits, that stand in the way of overcoming your social anxiety and self-doubts. Creating positive associations to situations you once perceived as overwhelming. Remember, your anxiety started through a level of suggestion, and therefore positive suggestions through hypnotic trance can alleviate you.

Daily Positive Action

Once you make the decision to implement positive change, you can maintain it with daily action. You don’t have to start big; small changes over time will make it less overwhelming. This can include:

  1. Having a routine that allows you to achieve your goal
  2. Commitment to a hypnotherapy package to address the issues related to your anxiety
  3. Practising daily affirmations helps you rewire your way of thinking
  4. Committing time to yourself and your relaxation each day. This can mean reading a book before bed, spending some time in the sun, taking a long bath or doing something creative, etc

Reframing Your Negative Thought Patterns

Negativity tends to be infectious; it destabilises, and it is contagious. Humans have a very sensitive emotional complexity, which is directly impacted by what they surround themselves with, both physically and mentally. Those with anxiety disorders should consider the following:

  1. Memories they are holding onto
  2. Sport and hobbies they engage in
  3. The company they keep, and how they are spending their time
  4. The quality of the work they deliver
  5. Type of music they listen to, style of music, movies, entertainment shows and social media content they engage in

It is important to take into consideration the above in your life; these components assist you in determining how you will consciously overcome your anxiety. It is beneficial to your recovery to surround yourself with positive people, positive energy, and positive consciousness. The media you consume influences your mind, just like your nutritional intake has an effect on your body. Avoid negative, violent, excessively pornographic, politically divisive themes in favour of calm, uplifting, constructive and inspiring subject matter. Soothe the heart and the soul will heal, and you align to your true authentic self.
